Chance me please, less than perfect student

I'll be applying to these schools in the fall, as well as a few more I've yet to decide on

Boston University
Cornell University
Columbia University
New York University
SUNY Binghamton
Northeastern University
MIT

GPA: 3.9ish
Rank: Top 5% class of 400, not top 10
APs: Chem (4), will be taking physics calc bc and macroeconomics senior year. My school only offers APUSH other than these and I was unable to fit it in my schedule.
SAT: 740 Writing 690 Math 650 Writing.
ACT: 33 Composite 31 English 35 Reading 34 Math 31 Science
Im going to retake one of these, not sure which. I'm confident I'll do better on either one
SAT II: Taking Math II and Chem in October, I'm confident I'll get 700+ on both

ECs:
At least 200+ Community Service hours, most likely more
Drama Club Set crew, involved in tech crew and building of sets.
Community Service Club
Meals on Wheels
National Honor Society
Math and Science Honor Society

Awards:
Excellence in CAD/Engineering 11th grade

Any recommendations on safety/match schools would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance!

BU – Match
Cornell – Reach, you should apply ED
Columbia University – Reach
New York University – Match
SUNY Binghamton – Match
Northeastern University – Match
MIT – Super Reach

What’s your passion? Sounds like it’s behind the scenes in theatre. be sure to write about that. Schools: some are rediculously high reaches: Columbia & MIT. Cornell is too, but they are slightly less selective. Are you choosing them b/c they are ivies? Even Binghamton is getting more selective, but as an in-stater, it’s a match.

Good matches: BU, Northestern (also getting lots of press these days). My suggestion: look at some LACs. They’ve got great theatre opportunities for undergrads as does some other NY state schools. You’d be surprised how well liked they are.

Your ECs don t look too good to me…Maybe it s still time to do something about it.

BU match
Cornell Reach (because of your ECs)
Columbia Super Reach (may want to forget about this one)
NYU low reach
SUNY match
Northeastern match
MIT may want to leave this one and choose another safety
