Background:
In state white male
My school sends a fair amount of students to Tech every year, (around 100 current students from my HS are there currently). Rigor rating of 8, im not sure what this means really

UW GPA is around a 3.58-3.6 upward trend if that matters
6 APs tota, many honors
ACT: 33 English 34 Math 30 English/Writing. This converts to 2155 SAT (for GT)

ECS:
None except for spanish stuff and a little charity lol.

PLEASE BE 100% HONEST WITH ME, and please post what you think even if you think my chances are bad. I notice some chance threads dont get many replies if their chances are low.
i already have a backup/safety.

do u guys think I have any chance for regular? I’m from TX and actually attend a really competitive school. think it is ranked number one now.

GPA: 4.26
ACT ENG: 29 – cuz I am Asian…
ACT ENG/WRI: 29 – got a 10 on essay, but GA Tech doesn’t seem to consider that…
ACT MATH: 34
SAT Chem: 760
SAT M2: 800
Big Accomplishments: I got 120 on AMC 12, 4 on AIME. Intel finalist (got second place in my category), Siemens regional finalist, went upto state level championships in 2 sports.

My weighted GPA is around a 3.75 or so. And i just calculated what the single score would be for all three of those ACT scores and added them up. Obviously this may not be how they calculate it, but i assume they do something similar.

To be honest, I am pretty sure when adcoms look at your test score they will just see ACT scores OR your SAT scores…

@VirtueRiserX - I think it would depend on other things since the GPA is a bit low (unless maybe u attend a competitive high school). How do you my chances are? My ACT English scores are a bit low for GA tech I think.

oh… I assumed you did EA. Is your HOPE GPA the 3.75?
Also on some charts your ACT to SAT score is a little higher and on others it’s a little lower so 2155 is probably a decent guess.

I really hope they don’t convert scores that way. That person said they used the upper bound of the range. That means a 35 on a section is an 800 on sat. That is no way accurate. They probably dont even co vert scores anymore.
