I was basically wondering what my chances are at McGill (and nyu) for a student from NY. I plan on majoring in economics or finance.
I am going into my junior year with a 3.65 UW gpa. I took 2 AP’s last year (physics and world history) and got a 4 & 5. I will be taking 3 more AP’s this year as well and plan on getting at least a 30 on the ACT and bring up my gpa to a 3.7. I know McGill doesn’t care much about EC’s, but what do you think my chances would be? Thanks
I don’t know much about McGill unfortunately, but I would say that for NYU at least it depends on whether you want Stern Business school. I would say if you want Stern you are probably going to need at least a 32-34 on the ACT and some solid business-oriented and strong extracurriculars. For the regular College of Arts and Sciences, I would say that you are close to being a match.
