you must write pretty amazing essays.
you have everything else except the ACT score, which isn't BAD its just lower than there middle 50% so you are competing with kids with excellent scores.
you still can win them over with the essays though.

You're not in the middle 50%, which means 25% if people with around your scores get in, and none of them can match up with your stellar ECs

The most important thing is that you come up with a list of schools you like and some you KNOW you're going to get into and be able to afford. After you identify those schools, getting in or not getting into Chicago doesn't matter quite as much.

If you give us a breakdown of what you want in a college and how much (if any) aid you might need, the other CC folks and I would be happy to help you make a list.

I don't really need any aid...It would be sweet to get a little but whatever.

I'm looking for a school where I can get a solid Academic experience. I'm really into econ and business so I figured U of chicago would be perfect. I'm looking for a school that is mid sized-to small sized. I kind of also want to be by a larger city.

Thanks!

You probably have as good a shot as most. Write good essays and hope the recommendations are stellar. The test scores don't matter that much.

you're in, but are you sure chicago's right for you just because of econ and business? first off, there's no undergraduate business program. Second off, their econ department is more math oriented than any other college in the country (along with MIT), so you should have a love for math as much as a love for econ.

I do love math!

its scary but my stats look exactly like yours.. =\ I applied . . .
