<p>Class rank is fine and so are the ECs. The biggest problem is the ACT score; the 25-75th percentile range for Wash U students is 30-33. Even with an ACT score of 31/32 I would say your chances are no better than average which is about 1 in 5, with a 28, unless there is something else you haven't said, it's a big reach.</p>

<p>As a current student, I wouldn't say it's a big reach. The score is just a tiny bit on the low side but I don't think those 2-3 points will hurt you that much.</p>

<p>From your stats, you sound like a very solid student and in my opinion, solid students tend to get in.</p>
