<p>Hey everybody,</p>

<p>I've been on CC for awhile now, but I've never posted anything! I'd like you guys to chance me at all the UC's, USC, Michigan, NYU. Thanks a lot!</p>

<p>SATI: 690M/620CR/610W- 1920 (Hopefully going to crack 2000 this weekend)</p>

<p>Taking SAT II's next month: Math II, US History,Chem</p>

<p>UW GPA: 3.9
W GPA: 4.11</p>

<p>Extracurriculars
-4 Years Varsity Baseball, Team Captain senior year (I've been playing since I was 6)
-Won an award for a video I made in the LA Jewish Film Festival
-Created my own project in which I collected tons of soccer equipment which was donated to unfortunate kids in Israel
-Took a class at a community college
-Peer tutored
-Founder and President of Speak (Domestic Violence Awareness Club)
-Dean's List (Honor roll)</p>

<p>Possible Hooks: First person in my family going to college, will not need FinAid</p>

<p>Should get good recs, will have solid essays</p>

<p>Any suggestions as to other schools I should consider, maybe so EC's i should pick up?</p>

<p>You’re gonna need a big jump in your SAT scores to get into most of those schools. The mid-to-low tier UCs shouldn’t be a problem, but for place like UCLA, UCB, UMich, NYU, and USC, you’ll need at least something in the 2050 range. Good luck this weekend!</p>

<p>Also, check into Syracuse, GWU, American and BU.</p>

<p>i agree with capobach, get your SATs up! UC Berkeley, USC, Michigan, NYU, UCI, UCLA, etc…all the schools that you listed are going to be high reaches if you cant crack 2000. your ECs are pretty good, tho they aren’t outstanding, so i think the toughest reach for you is probably gonna be UC Berkeley, so have some other schools as safeties…
Also you should aim for at least a 30 - 32 on your ACT, imo, if you want a good shot at the schools you listed. good luck!</p>
