I've always loved Yale and know that they have an excellent reputation for students beind admitted to premier Med Schools. I want to get the best education possible and know that Yale would be great for me - if I am lucky enough to get in! (:

Is there anything else I missed?

I'm a white female from a middle class family with dreams of studying pre-med. I have quite a few ideas for essays already and I'm spending my summer working on studying for the September ACT and SAT IIs. My summer consists of taking a math class for a credit and volunteering and interning at a hopital in addition to working at an Ice Cream shop and coaching basketball!

I’ll save you some trouble then. You’re a qualified student, so congrats, you’re in the ballpark; unfortunately, many qualified students get turned away because there’s more applying than there are spots available. You’d probably be very successful at Yale, as you will be wherever you go, but these things can be a total crapshoot. Here at CC we can give you advice and opinions based on “general knowledge”, personal observations, statistics, being a current student, etc., but no one will be able to predict the committee’s decision. Nobody (or at least VERY few people) here is truly qualified to “chance you”, including yours truly (incoming college freshman here). My OPINION (which is based on personal observations and Results threads here on CC) is that you’re an excellent candidate, in a pool of many other excellent candidates, whose chances could increase considerably if you get recruited for one of your sports. Best of luck with the process and all future endeavors.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate your honesty! I know how the admissions process is really just up to chance. I’m hoping that being at the top high school in the state will improve my chances in applying. I’ve also got over 400 service hours, so that will not hurt my application! I see you go to UChicago! That’s so awesome, I love the school, but Chicago is the best city in the world. (: Where are you from originally?
