<p>I don’t chance beyond “probably rejected out of hand,” “probably about average, i.e., ~7%,” and “probably more than average, i.e., 7.1%+.” You’re in the third category, but you should know that from your score, rank, and debate status. Do you have any specific questions about the application process? I’m (and most of us are) much more help with those than with trying to guess an application’s results.</p>
<p>Yes I do have a question about essays. My family recently separated from my abusive father. I feel as though this circumstance is important to convey but I don’t want to come across as portraying myself as a sob story or charity case just to get in. Do you have advice on how to accomplish this? Should it be my main essay or my supplement essay?
