Berkeley, as an Out of State student, it is a reach for you. They make admission easier for instate students, but raising your SAT CW and Writing score might help. You could also try the ACT because I did horrible in Writing and CW in the SAT, but after 4 tries in the ACT, I got an equivalent score that was 200 points higher than my SAT score.

Wow you took the ACT four times? That's kind of extreme.

You should charge more than $150 a week. :)

Sorry if this a messy response, it's early...Since you're out of state, I would actually consider focusing on developing an interesting way to unite both your education and ability to serve others in some sort of project of your own creation...some sort of charity event, drive, tennis weekend camp for urban kids, etc etc. Something that is completely self-less and not so obsessive with stats and numbers. You need to humanize yourself, because right now you're just a boring list (and I know you're not! You're obviously filled with passion!) I know what the people in the offices at Berkeley tend to be like. Berkeley is all about applying your education to good use in the world and our tenets stress world service. They want an idea of what you will do with your education once you have it. How many people will your being educated by Berkeley touch or help? By this I don't mean, will you join the Peace Corp, but...well I can't give an example because I don't know your intended major, but research in nearly any field would work. If you are able to show these qualities, you could also very easily be nominated for an Alumni Leadership Scholarship which wouldn't hurt your out-of-state debt.

I also think you should enroll in a Community College (just your favorite subject for more learning) to show you can handle the work load etc. It should be a piece of cake for you, yeah?

One warning: If they know you are EA and out of state, they might think you're someone who wouldn't take the out-of-state spot if they gave it to you...and those positions are fierce. Make sure you explain why this specific school is right for you!

Good luck.

only $150 a week?

You suck.

Stop bumping this.

You have a 5 in BC, but you can't even calculate your own GPA? If you don't have a 4.0 UW GPA there's no way you can have a 5.0 W GPA.

Top 40 in state, nice. Nice ECs, but raise your SATs. Everything else seems on track.

Stop bumping it.

yes you can have higher than a 5.0 gpa without a 4.0. Ap's count as 5.87, honors count as 5.37 and cp classes count as 4.87.

you should have made that known a little earlier. thats nowhere near as impressive as it was originally considering that weighting.
