<p>yeah so this is depressing but please chance</p>

<p>ACT 29 super to 31 if it matters (36 math)</p>

<p>SAT (didnt submit but 1920, 780 math bombed writing and reading)</p>

<p>Unweighted GPA 3.22 or something like that, i go to a really touch school and they dont give us a break on anything (ranked #1 in the city in 2007) weighted is probabaly 3.5 something like that (also gpa is low due to french and chem scores....yeah ik no excuses here but my mathes ahve all been A's and im applying engineering so idk how that will go</p>

<p>50 some hours volunteer nothing special there (did volunteer in University of Cincinnati nanolab and also another couple hours at a camp for mentally disabled children)
4 year varsity golfer (6th place at state my junior year as a team) won a couple touraments and placed well during state championships (probably spend a good 20 hours if not more a week on it, make all city honors etc)
piano for like 7 years
youth group at local church
student ambasasdor (we advertise the school to prospective students, give tours etc)
JSA (junior statemesmen of amercia) we go to conventions (basically debate team)
Math and science clubs (compete well in contests)
chess club
caddied for two summers (8hr a week)</p>

<p>im asian (how does this help my chances, a lot of asians at UDub so idk if thats a good or bad thing, asians are no longer seen as a minority student group so :/) </p>

<p>im from ohio so idk how the school looks at my coming from the other side of the country (schools always love their demographics) </p>

<p>Low chance. Your SAT/ACT scores are good enough for UW, but your GPA is killing you. Better hope your essay is really good, cause I think the last thing UW wants is another standard Asian math genius. Show that you’re different and you’ll have a decent chance.</p>

<p>I don’t agree with the above poster. Considering all your extracurriculars and the fact that you went to a super competitive school, your GPA and grades are still higher than average. I remember when my friends applied their GPA avg around a 3.4-3.5 and SATs around 1700 and all of them got in. Coming from OOS might hurt your chances slightly, but I think if your essay is strong you shouldn’t worry.</p>

<p>I’m also going to say low chance.</p>

<p>UW still wants you to send all of your test scores in. OOS and a lower GPA doesn’t help you too.</p>
