Anyone…?

Looks like a reach…good luck!

What’s your GPA scale. It’s hard to believe that a 4.0 would only rank you 42nd in your class, it has to be out of something besides that. What’s your UW GPA out of 4?

My unweighted is a 94.74 p. When my school calculated it weighted they told me 4.0 out of 4.0

Well I think that you probably have a 3.9 because with a 94.74, usually you would have at least one A- if not more since you probably had easy classes like gym or something where you had something close to 100% if not more. But if you really have straight As, then never mind, you really have a 4.0. But regardless, a 3.9 and a 4.0 are just about the same thing so it’s not much of an issue.

Since you’re OOS, your SAT scores are a concern. A 1770 simply won’t be enough. You’re going to have to get that up, preferably to at least a 2000 but at least above a 1900. And you should also consider taking the ACT because sometimes people are simply better at one test or the other. The different format of the ACT might be what you need to perform well. I know my scores were a lot higher on the ACT than on the SAT. Your ECs look good though to be honest, I would be skeptical of how involved you were in the majority of your clubs, since you have a bunch of them. But you do show commitment in your activities with the leadership positions and for some of them length. If you have average essays, recs and don’t improve your SAT score by too much, you’re probably a low reach for Michigan. That 4.0 will help you a lot but too low test scores might indicate that your classes are too easy, which will get you rejected.

Since freshman year I have taken honors in everything except my math classes. Last year I took AP Lang and got a 4 on the test. This year i am taking 2 AP classes, microeconomics and lit. My school doesn’t really offer many AP classes other than physics, chemistry, biology, and calc. (all of which I suck at)

how do 42 or more people at ur school have 4.0s?

that must be a pretty easy school

@PurpleDuckMan, 6% of my class have 4.00 and I go to Michigan’s #1 public HS. So maybe the OP has a very talented class?
However, no offense to OP, seeing his/her SAT score I’d go with your opinion.
