I was looking to drop one of my schools max. 9 schools in favor of BC. Ideas?

Dear Cudder : Let’s seriously look at your math/critical reading combination. On the SAT I test, you are looking at a combined 1230/1600. This is bottom quartile on the current Boston College SAT profile curve. While your ACT composite at 30 is right at the tipping point based on past year’s threads here on college confidential, your math (28) and reading (28) scores are again bottom quartile.

An unweighted average at 3.5 is not typically a Top 10% GPA, a profile which takes between 80%-85% of the incoming class. It does appear to be a Top 25% GPA which runs to the 97% mark of the incoming class (meaning about 15% of the class is between the 10th and 25th percentile in their High School classes).

BC feels like a stretch school based on this profile. Are there leadership roles that you can leverage to describe how you can offset these scoring concerns? Also, can you share the other schools that are under your consideration?
