Hi guys I’m an Indian Male in TN and I would like to know how competitive I am at a few schools.

My stats are :

3.45 UW GPA (this can become a 3.55 at the end of 1st semester senior year).
4.04 W GPA (this can become a 4.13 at the end of 1st semester senior year).
35 ACT (36 Superscore)
1420 PSAT
SAT 2’s Scores Pending (Math 2 & Physics)
Full IB Diploma Curriculum (5 HL classes and 1 SL)

I’d say that you can get into Virginia Tech, UIUC, and possibly UC Irvine. Your UW GPA is much too low for the other colleges/universities. While your ACT score is very high, GPAs are weighted more heavily as they tell much more about a student and his work ethic than a 4 hour test can. Also, your trend is more downward than upward. In your case, while your ACT will help a little, your UW GPA is too low for most of the colleges you have listed.
