Putting finishing touches on essay trying to tie together some of what I have done with interest in chemE major

Applying to Lafayette, Lehigh, Bucknell, Villanova, & uconn as possible chemE major- parents will be able to pay out about 30,000 a year EFC. Will fall between 7-9 thousand. What do you think my chances are getting in? How about financial aid at the privates? Anyone think of additional safeties/ schools that may be more willing to offer $. I prefer not to attend a ver big school or a school in an urban center- also trying to avoid very cold weather

Have you looked at Purdue? They would be an excellent safety for your profile.

Have you run the net price calculator on each college’s web site to get an estimate of financial aid?

For low cost safeties, some of the colleges in this list have chemical engineering:

From the above list, these have chemical engineering, but some may require higher SAT or ACT scores than you have for the full tuition scholarships:

Alabama Huntsville
Alabama Tuscaloosa
Tuskegee
Florida A&M
Louisiana Tech
Mississippi
Prairie View A&M
Texas A&M Kingsville

At non-resident price, it would be a reach financially for the OP.

Thank you for the suggestions. UCONN is a safety for me for admittance & financially but I will check into these schools as I would prefer to have a few safeties.
