Chance me , Please~ seriously

Hi, I am a international student from china and I came to America four years ago (<--excuse for odd SAT scores). below is my vitae.

again, THANK YOU !

How are you able to manage all those classes AND leadership roles AND volunteer work AND clubs at once. I believe you, but it looks suspect.

Your laundry list of awards is too long, and not all of them are impressive. I'd recommend putting a max of 3-5 major awards per category/interest on your resume, and preferably international and national awards come before regional/local/small competitions.

First, I have a quick question about a discrepancy I noticed. Underneath School Activities you list the following:

"Asian Culture Club (9-12)"

Underneath Leadership, you list the following:

"President of Asian Culture Club, 11—12
Founder, 11"

To me it sounds like you are saying you founded the club in 11th grade. What exactly is that?

Beyond that, I have to agree with the others. You are doing a lot, but it feels more like a laundry list than serious interests. What are your passions?

yay! another one with same chronological history--i came in jan. 2004. which city in china did you come from? i totally understand the SAT deficiencies and your SAT scores are really impressive (out of personal experience and knowledge of several friends) and im sure colleges know about it, given their decades of experience with admission (DUH). however, you are in the international pool (my sympathies for no green card), which is far more selective (at most 1/2 the admission rate at top colleges as normal domestic pool). i concur with the above analyses. you need ot narrow your activities and awards down to 5~7 most meaningful ones, because college apps won't give you enough space to write more and some (columbia, for example, though you are not applying) schools dont want you to attach additional resumes.
remember to be creative and a little relaxed in teh way you convey your thoughts.
btw, what do you want to major in? ask CCers and get a few more colleges on your list.
best of luck.

ah, i see. yea, i should cut down my laundry list...especially the award part.
well, for the Asian Culture...i found that club when i transfered to LEon High my junior year.

well..a reason why i don't have much national awards is that national level competitions cost too much for my family</p>

i am doing to many thingies *sigh. well, i don't really volunteer in the History Museum that often anymore...prob just once every other week. Prob this is another reason why i don't have good SAT scores....i barely have anytime to practice ....
