Cool background. I like your EC’s especially. Not to mention the sweet GPA.

What do you think about your essays? What did you write about? How do you feel about them so far?

What do you want to do? What is your prospective major? What are your academic interests? Why?

These are questions I have personally, just by looking at your list of activities and classes. This means you are compelling, but it also means I want answers. Definitely interview and share a bit of who you are with your interviewer.

Sounds like you’re pretty solid with U-Delaware, especially with the legacy.

Richmond, Lafayette, TCNJ, and Boston College sound pretty good to me, from what little I know about them.

Your SATs are great, too. If you can take more subject tests and get just slightly higher, you might feel more secure.

As for the Ivies, Ivies are weird. Nobody has a “good chance” of getting in. Show them your personality in your essays and interview. I get that you are an athlete with some medical interest who’s good at Spanish from your list here. Why are you into what you’re into? Separate yourself from the others, because they it’s easy applicants as drones and they must be made to understand that you are special and interesting. Do whatever you can to stand out.

I know nothing about William and Mary except that it is very hard to get into (like an Ivy) and very tradition-oriented. Prove that you are already a William and Mary Woman and you belong there in an interview and essays. Study what alumni and the curriculum produce in common and use it to your advantage.

What is your position with the newspaper? What is it like for a girl to manage a male wrestling team? Any hurdles/sexism you had to overcome? That could be interesting to hear about.

Get some cool teacher recs to further distinguish your app.

Best of luck. Hope this helps. Could you chance me back? Mine’s called Crossing My Fingers. I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

Peace.

Can you get looked at for field hockey? If yes, you would have a chance at them all. If no, the top 4 will be very, very tough coming from the uber competitive NJ pool. I would add a school or two at the BC level to give yourself more choice in April.

I suggest retaking all your SAT II’s as Ivy’s do place some importance on them.

urich and lafayette look very good for you. i dont know much about anything else except the ivies are the ivies. not much i can say, they are crapshoots

hey chance me back
ivy league 2014/others?

STEPH KASS HAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHH
LOVE ITTTTTTTTT

i was reading this and i was like its so steph…
and it was hahahaha
shockkkkerrr

oh and we dont have a spanish club anymore hahahaha

and U Dell ahahahah flash back to mud pit muchhhhhhhhhhhh

Obviously your rank and GPA are right on par for what the Ivys want. Your SAT I’s are great, im so jealous! :stuck_out_tongue: The Math subject test score scares me a little bit, but I dont think its necessarily a reason to reject you at all. I think the key for you would be to really milk your feild hockey team thing for all its worth. It seems from this that its what really drives you and Im sure you could right an amazing essay off of it. You have to remember that Ivys see tons of students with amazing numbers, and you really have to let your personality shine through on the essays. Obviously the Ivys are up for grabs but all the others you should be solid for!

Im lookin at UPenn too!, and our stats look really similar. So hopefully I’ll see ya on the quad sometime next fall! lol good luck! chance me back for Penn?

hahahaha kaittt. <3

oh and, I intend on being a neuroscience/biopsych major. I would eventually like to go on to med school to become a child/adolescent psychiatrist.

You didn’t mention this, but since you participate in a Spanish Club and medaled in the National Spanish Exam, are you Spanish or Hispanic? I ask only because being an URM will improve your chances considerably.

No, although I realize what a huge help that would have been. Haha,
