Tried to keep it short. Let me know what you guys think I should expect.

It wouldn’t feel right giving you my opinion on your chances when I’m trying to figure out my chances for similar colleges. However, I will say that for MIT you need Math and Science SAT II Subject Tests (and I’m pretty sure Cornell requires 2 as well). I don’t know if you just forgot to include them or if you didn’t know

Definitely apply to all the schools you want to because you won’t get in if you don’t try! Good luck!

I’m going to be brutally honest: you don’t seem like a unique applicant. I don’t know if that’s partially to do with the fact that you kept the post short or not, but your ECs are very trite.

Also, how many AP classes does your school offer? If you’ve only taken 3 out of the many that your school offers, your course load is lacking rigor. Also, you have no AP scores for physics/Chem or calc… That’s concerning, it being that you want to major in engineering.

Also, your English and reading sections are higher than your math and science sections (but don’t get me wrong, you scored very well on everything).

If you live in CA, I think you’ll get into all of your UCs and Cal Poly. Of the remaining schools, I think you’ll be accepted to one.

Thanks for being honest ap012199.

I have not taken the SAT 2 tests yet.

As far as the AP classes go, they aren’t offered until 11th grade at my school and my Physics and Engineering Academy classes took up two periods in 11th grade so I took just about as many AP classes as I could in 11th grade. This year I am taking AP CompSci, AP Physics, AP English, and AP Calc. I took honors math and science classes during 9th and 10th grade if that helps. Will this be seen as low rigor?

What is an example of an EC that is not considered trite?

Thanks for the info.
