Reach for the ivies. Nothing truly spectacular. Match for JohnS Hopkins, Emory, Rice.

What year and what category did you place in CSF?

I think the Ivies are between reach and slight reach
the UC’s are matches

@PurePhysics, I placed 3rd place in 2011. It was in Environmental Engineering.

@mmaisamm Environmental Engineering is a Junior Only category. What was the category?

@PurePhysics My Bad I’m Sorry I had the year wrong, I did it in 8th grade 2010 not 2011.

@mmaisamm Well this can’t be used on college apps.

@PurePhysics: [Ivy League Application Interests and Activities Statement - college-admissions - College Confidential](http://www.collegeconfidential.com/college_admissions/ivy_applications_9.htm)
??

That’s dandy, but truth be it, admissions could give a rat’s ass regarding pre-high school years. Were the other awards from high school years?

@PurePhysics Everything else is from High School. But damn, that’s frustrating, I put in a lot of time and effort into that project and it won’t help me in college acceptance. Thanks so much for the help, most people wouldn’t be this engaged. I think you have been responding faster than I have. Thanks again!

@mmaisamm No worries, I’m not trying to be rude, just completely honest without sugar coating it. I’m sure you’ll get into either Johns Hopkins or Dartmouth. Best of Luck
