<p>^ you seriously over-estimated your chances. even most of your matches are big reaches. ucla is a definite reach for an asian international student like yourself. your act is well below grinnell's median of 31-32 which successful international applicants generally score well above that. lafayette and occidental have become extremely competitive the past few years. i think you should be more realistic about your chances. keep in mind that chinese is one of the most competitive application pools in american higher education. i think you have decent chances at places like smith, mt holyoke, denison, wooster, earlham and pitzer.</p>

<p>I suggest you bump this thread sometime tomorrow. You need to understand that most of the people in the US spent this evening watching our "super bowl", which for us is the equivalent of the rest of the world's World Cup Soccer Final game (except ours is for American football).</p>
