Hi, I'm a caucasian girl from NJ and TCNJ is my top choice (didn't realize I loved it so much until after ED was due). I was wondering how my chances are for getting in (regular decision).

Meh, what’s your class rank/percentile? What major did you choose? Your SATs should be fine unless you want to do biology. Your course load is pretty rigorous so that’s good. your ECs are good. So I guess you have a pretty good shot.

You seem to have very impressive stats. TCNJ is very competitive and hard to get into. I will tell you my story, because I think it will help. I applied pretty late. TCNJ waited until very close to the end of the deadline before sending me a second review, which I completed. On the second to last day before the deadline, which I believe was May 1, I received a small envelope. Of course, the small envelope is never good. I was wait listed but decided to remain on the list. I was accepted later, but I was informed how “lucky” I was since they only took 30 students off of wait list. If I had accepted the offer, I would be a non-matriculated student for the first semester. In the end I decided to decline the offer, though it took some serious consideration.

That being said, you should have a good chance of getting in. I took no AP classes and only three honors classes. My GPA was the same as yours; very good. My SAT scores were quite low for this school at 1680, and I took them only once. I had much fewer extra curriculars too. I still got in, although off of wait list. No shame in that though. By the way, I applied and was accepted into the business college. It does matter what major you choose, and God help you if you want to switch majors after being accepted. Hope this information helps. I have to pass on my knowledge to the next of kin.
