  • got rejected from Wellesley fly in program (Not sure why, but maybe because I visited already)

Also, I am wondering if the rejection from fly-in will affect my actual application?

With those scores and GPA, not even counting your first-gen status, I think Wellesley is a Target for you. Good luck!

The students flown in for Discover Wellesley Weekend tend to be people from low-income backgrounds who probably wouldn’t have the opportunity to visit the school otherwise. Since you’ve already been to the school, that might explain why they didn’t choose you. I don’t think it’s a reflection of your application strength. Don’t worry about it.

Anyway, your stats look awesome! Just keep up the good work, spend time perfecting your application essays, and don’t forget to request an interview before the deadline passes. Good luck!

I agree you look like a great candidate for Wellesley. Regarding the fly-in program if you live in a high-income zip code that would have an impact as well. However, applying for the fly-in program shows you are interested in the school and that matters a lot.

There are a lot of really talented women who apply to Wellesley, you should fit right in. Write a killer essay – best of luck!

It’s been a while, but I just want to say thank you for all the encouragements! My love for Wellesley is unchanged, and will definitely put my best efforts into the application!

As a first-gen student at Wells, we would LOVE to have you! You’ve got this.

Thank you all again for the encouragements; it really meant a lot to me during the college process! I am accepted into Wellesley, and can’t wait to spend my next four year there!!
