Chance me Please, thanks!

I have a 1390 SAT(taking it again, hoping to get a 1420-1440), 4.5W GPA. I am applying for computer science and math-cs as an alt major. My extracurriculars include programming lead for my high schools robotics team, member of young men’s service league(community service organization), babysitting/tutoring, coding instructor. I am going to apply to all ucs, hoping to get into UCSD and UCSB.

I am a California resident as well

You are probably competitive for UCSB, UCI and UCD, will almost certainly get into UCM, UCR and UCSC. LA, B and SD could go either way. Apply broadly. What is your UC GPA?

UC GPA calculator: https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

All UC’s will use the capped weighted UC GPA and UCLA/UCB will also consider your fully weighted UC GPA.

UC’s tend to be GPA focused, but competitive test scores, EC’s with leadership and outstanding essays will all contribute to your chances.

CS happens to be one of the most competitive majors for all the UC"s, so your stats need to be above the averages.

Check out the Freshman profiles for all the UC’s to see how you compare: http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/freshman/profiles/index.html

Uc gpa is a 4.42

What is the capped weighted, not just your fully weighted?
4.33 is the maximum capped weighted. Remember only 2 classes or 4 semesters of UC approved Honors, AP/IB courses can be used for 10th grade.

What is your UW UC GPA also?

since they cap the AP/honors bump at 8 - it is just about impossible to have a UC GPA above 4.40 - if you have 5 a-g classes soph and Jr year, 2 AP classes, and get straight As, that’s a 4.40 - if you took 4 AP classes Soph and Jr year and earned straight As, that’s still a 4.4 - 6 a-g classes both years, 2 AP/honors, your straight A gpa is 4.33.

If you drop down to 4 a-g classes, you can bump the UC GPA above 4.4 but, you won’t have enough classes to be competitive.
