<p>I'm a senior FYI.
I am going for majoring in International Political Economy (IPE) for Georgetown University.</p>

<p>Unweighted GPA: 3.917
Class Rank: top 6% (20/360)
SAT: 2180 Super Scored 720 Writing, 760 Math, 700 Critical Reading
SAT II: 710 US History, 680 Math Level 2, 630 Literature
PSAT: 210, 98 percentile, I received a letter saying they can send scores for the top 50,000 students out of the 1.5 mil that took it to some colleges of my choice...will this do anything for me?</p>

<p>AP Classes:
10th - World History, Human Geography (I got a 5 on both exams)
11th - US History, English Language & Composition, Statistics, Environmental Science (5 on all except 4 on Environmental Science)
12th (planning on taking) - English Literature, Government/Economics (both half year courses), Physics B, Calculus AB, Psychology</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Debate Team Captain - I have won medals and a trophy, and will win more senior year
National Honor Society Member
President of Muslim Student Association
Junior World Affairs Council Member
Independent Study & Mentorship Program (I will research International Political Economy, interview professionals, get a mentor, and produce a final product in relation to my field at the end of the year)</p>

<p>Looks like you are smack in the middle with your SAT scores. Mid 50%: 650-750 CR; 650-750 M. Rest looks good. You have a good shot. Pretty confident about that essay, huh? Go for it!</p>

<p>the PSAT won’t do much. most people applying to Georgetown and got that high. also they’ll be able to tell from your SAT scores that you did well on the PSAT. i think you have a good chance</p>

<p>Your overall stats easily meet the general requirements. It will be up to the essays, your interview,your recommendations and your EC’s. You just have to sell yourself and hope to be one of the 20% who are accepted. Good luck.</p>
