My essays are also very strong

My number one top choice is Georgetown University School of Foreign Service- i will likely do SCEA (does that help?)

I'm also applying to

American University (safety)
Cornell University
Dartmouth
Duke University
George Washington University (safety)
Johns Hopkins University
New York University (safety)
Princeton University (reach)
Tufts University
University of Pennsylvania
University of Virginia
Yale University (reach)

Are too many of these reaches? Do I have a good chance at alot of these if I get my SATs up?

Please let me know,

THANKS!

oh, and my class has app. 450 students (I should be in top 5).

Please let me know what I can work on to have a chance at these schools. I hope to up my SAT to 2200 (maybe more). Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated.

Too many reaches, and I dont think NYU is really a safety for you.

what do you think I can do to improve my chances?

i think if u do really well on your re-takes, you will drastically improve your chances.

do you think Georgetown would be a reach in case my scores don’t go up as much as i’d like?

It seems like your ECs are kinda fluff. I mean, you did not do great on your Math2 SAT and the Math section on the SAT, but you are in all these math clubs?

it’s not a joke. i don’t do well under pressure on tests- i never have enough time on the math portions when i take the practice ones i get 750 + b/c i dont time myself. i wouldnt lie about my ECs… what do you mean they are fluff??

rmadden means like they are fillers. Are you really involved in any of those? That’s what colleges like I think: passion in one or two things. That makes you unique

Tell me, how do you volunteer for McCain. I can’t find opportunities on his website. Darn republicans and their obsession with their donations…

The pressure thing sounds like a lame excuse. I’m as average a math student as it gets (I finished with pre-calc in 12th grade), and you did barely better than I did on the math portion of the SATs…

I stumbled upon this when searching for something else. I’m interested though, where did you end up getting in? And where have you chosen to go?
