Chance me PLEASE!!! Top Tier Colleges

@noel597 Yeah I know. I was just giving an example with marketing. As mentioned before in my previous posts, I have a friend going into finances at Wharton but has no related ecs in that field whatsoever.

yeah i know it doesn’t look too good, but i was hoping it wouldn’t be too big of a setback. do u guys advise any SAT II Subject tests? Also could you chance my list as a whole/maybe advise any other schools?

Penn- low reach
Michigan- high match (with PA)
Berkeley- high match
Duke- reach
Chapel Hill- low match
Stern- match
Cornell- high match
Chicago- low reach
CMU- match

Good luck!

Founding a consulting firm is an awesome idea.

You’re gonna need to ignore @gtho1108‌

Penn- low reach since ED
Michigan- mid to low match (in state)
Berkeley- low reach (OOS)
Duke- high reach
Chapel Hill- high reach (OOS)
Stern- low reach
Cornell- high reach
Chicago- high reach
CMU- low reach

• ED UPenn CAS - Reach. Try to improve SAT score to above 2200. DEFINITELY take the SAT II’s. Not sending in those AP scores will hurt a little. Make sure your essays are A+++. But its still a gamble for Penn.
• UC Berkley - High Match
• Duke - High Match
• NYU Stern - Match
• Cornell - Low Reach
• UChicago - Reach

I left out a few bc honestly I don’t know much about those schools.

@JessClark I was planning on sending in my ACT and taking 2 SAT II’s. Shouldn’t that be fine? As for AP scores I was told they don’t factor i to admissions (idk how much of that is true). Essays I will pour my heart out. UPenn is the goal.

From UPenn’s Required Testing Site

“No preference is given to either test, however Penn requires applicants to submit their ENTIRE TESTING HISTORY. If applicants have taken both the SAT and the ACT, they MUST SUBMIT their testing history from both exams. Penn will pay attention to the highest scores from any test when reviewing a candidate’s application, but having the complete testing profile provides deeper insight.”

You are going to have to send in all 6 of your ACT scores

Yeah I was worried about that. I hope it won’t hurt me too much. I increased 5points composite from my first one. And it was done in like a 1.5-2year span so I’m hoping it’s not TOO bad.

Thanks for chancing me so quickly, your stats look really solid overall! I’m not too familiar with your entire list:
UPenn: low reach w/ ED
UC Berkeley: high match
Duke: high match
Cornell: reach
UChicago: reach

Best of luck! Here’s to getting accepted into your dream school!

I understand your dilemma eith medicine and business alwaysborderline. I am also is a dilemma between comp sci and business. Looking at your statistics, i would say that you have a chance with ED at Penn, but Penn does look at all the tests, so taking the ACT 6 times will not look good. Also, your ECs are good, but DECA and HOSA may not add as much weight to your application as you hope they might. Here are my opinions

UPenn with ED- reach
Michigan- Match
Berkeley- reach because you are OOS
Duke- reach
Chapel Hill- match
Stern- match
cornell- reach
uchicago- reach
cmu- ??

• ED UPenn CAS - reach
• UMich PA Ross - match
• UC Berkeley - match
• Duke - reach
• UNC Chapel Hill - low reach (bc you’re oos)
• NYU Stern - low reach
• Cornell - reach
• UChicago - reach
• Carnegie Mellon Tepper - high match / low reach

Many of these schools are reaches for everyone, so don’t feel bad. Your stats are really good though, so I’m confident you’ll get into a few of these top tier schools
Thanks for the chance btw and good luck!!

• ED UPenn CAS (FIRST CHOICE)/ Low reach
• UMich PA Ross/ Match
• UC Berkley/ Low Reach
• Duke/ Reach
• UNC Chapel Hill/ Reach
• NYU Stern/ Match
• Cornell/ Low reach
• UChicago/ Match
• Carnegie Mellon Tepper/ Match
Indiana Kelley/ IU Kelley is no safety but but i see it as a match
MSU . good safety

@tronneutron‌ UChicago is not a match it is a reach for pretty much everyone.

You have a wealth of experiences inside and out of the classroom. Your ACT score is stronger than your SAT. The only things that are worrisome is the fact that you haven’t taken subject tests yet, and that someone with a high GPA like you struggled on AP’s which are supposed to get you ready for college. That is all. The rest of your application shines brightly though! I wish you the best

I am indian and I just wanted some of you to review my profile for US undergraduate admission for Computer science

Let me start of by my 9th standard result 9.8 /10 cgpa
In 10th standard I got 10 cgpa
In 11th my percentage fell down to 74 percentage
In 12th standard first term I got 96 percentage.
Now coming to the standardized tests
I got 2090 in my Sat ( cr 680, math 730 , writing 680)
In my sat subject test I got 2300/2400 ( physics 790, Maths 2 760, chemistry 750 )
Plus I gave 2 advanced placement exams
Ap physics C mechanics 5/5
Ap calculus ab 5/5
I have done some community service
And I have played state nationals in cricket.
Can you please suggest what kind of colleges I can get into with these scores
A big thank you in advance .

@151Andrew151‌ I plan on taking Math 2 and Biology SAT Subject Tests in November. I hope this makes up for that portion. As for the AP Scores. They were from my sophomore year and I just didn’t know how to prepare well for them but I don’t plan on sending them in. Are my chances much better with those? My goal is to have a legitimate shot at ED UPenn. I expect my essays to be very good and same with my teacher recs. How do you think I’ll stack up then?

@AlwaysBorderline‌ I think that is great^ Just study a lot for the subject tests because you won’t have much time to retake them if you aren’t pleased with your scores

You honestly have a chance at every single school in your list. You have good standardized testing scores, and a good GPA. Your activities and work experience is solid. Make sure you dedicate a lot of time towards your essays. Those can make or break great applicants. Make sure you make the colleges see your true personality in what your writing because the colleges want to see who you are.

I know it’s been a while since this post has been active. But could you guys chance me for ED Columbia as well?
