Hi

I'm a female, Indian, living in California. I'm applying to MIT, UCs (especially UCB and UCD, though I'd be happy at any of them), CalTech, USC, and a couple others, but these are ones I actually want to go to.

GPA weighted: 4.667, unweighted: 4.0
SAT one sitting: 2250, superscored 2280
SAT II: Math 2 770, Chemistry 710 (bad day), and Spanish 680
AP tests I took: English Lang, Chemistry, Spanish, and Calc B/C (self studied)
Next years schedule: AP Lit, AP Bio, AP Gov, AP Stats, Physics Honors, teacher aiding for chem class

I want to major in Chem Engineering. I actually love chem, and that will show in my app.

ECs:
--founded robotics team at my school, now team captain. This isn't just an EC, it's a major thing and will be a focus in my app. To summarize I organize everything, apply for grants, maintain the website and help in build
--Captain Varsity Badminton
--Environmental Action Club and Art Club for fun
--150ish volunteer hours at library, robotics events, middle school, RelayforLife
--NHS member
--tutoring in math and spanish.
--I spent the last two summers as a camp counselor teaching kids aged 6-11 robotics.

Awards:
--NCWIT Bay Area Affiliate Winner, National Runner Up. its a women in technology award.
--Honor Roll for good grades.

Hobbies, Activities:
--Youtube...lol but no really. I watch the good educational stuff, and participate in online community/ discussion. its a hobby, and nerdfighters ftw!
--video editing, 3-d modeling (like CAD), game design, self teaching C programming, and generally being fascinated with science (meaning I randomly learn about string theory and biology and chemistry things in my free time)
--Writing. I'm starting a sci-fi adventure story (not fanfic, like a real deal), and I have a portfolio of poems.

The thing is, I know I have passion and love for science. College isn't about a degree for me, its about opportunity and learning something. That's why I love MIT so much, their environment is amazing if you take the opportunity. But I haven't done huge things, at least they don't seem big to me. I just like learning, taking a few challenges, and working with people to build and make things. My friends applying for high east coast schools are obsessed with 2300+ scores and ECs, but I took a laid back, do what I want and love approach, and now I'm nervous that I don't look good on paper (or more like online applications, lol).

So, what are my chances? Can I look at UCD as a safe, and chance me for the other schools too. Thanks guys :D
