My Stats are:

GPA Weighted: 4.1563
Class Rank: 8 out of 486

SAT:
May 2010: 1820 (CR: 600 M: 600 W: 620)
Retaking in October and maybe November. I didn't study the first time, but hopefully I'll do decent this time. Wish me luck!

SAT II:
Biology: 740 World History: 640 Math 2: 580
(I might take a couple of Subject Tests in December if I need too. Also, I'm going to make every effort possible to make sure no college ever sees my math score, EVER)

ACT: Taking in October.

AP Exams:
Biology: 5
Statistics: senior year
Chemistry: senior year
Calculus: senior year

Classes and Grades: Here's a copy of my transcript, <a href="http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x373/Zoidberg93/highschooltranscript.jpg%5B/url%5D">http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x373/Zoidberg93/highschooltranscript.jpg</a></p>

Young Democrats and Key Club (signing up this year)

Community Service/Volunteer:
Tutored other high school students through peer tutoring program at school
Sold tickets/merchandise for a literary organization during their special events
I don't know if this counts but I volunteered during the 2008 elections
That's pretty much it. This is probably my weakest area. Yeah, I know I suck for not helping people out more, so I do apologize to all the less fortunate people out there! I'll try to make up for it this year.

Honors:
National Honor Society
1st place in Western New England College Engineering Competition
St. Anselm Book Award
Model UN Delegate of the Year
High Honors Roll

Extra Stuff:

Ethnicity: Indian (of the South Asian variety, not Native American)

High School: Above average public school, usually a handful of students get into top-tier schools every year.

Location: NH

Also, I have some credits from a local community college.

If any part needs clarification, don't hesitate to ask! Thanks!

Excellent grades and decent ECs. If you can raise your SAT score you’d be in at all the schools on your list.

yeah im working on that hahaha

anymore chances out there?

bump: verb, the act of bumping

Boston University - Match, maybe even a safety. (I know a kid that got in there with a 93 or 94 GPA and a 1710 on his SATs.)

Northeastern University* - Match/Safety

Considering:

 1. Boston College - Low-Mid Reach, unless you get your SAT up
 2. NYU - Low-Mid Reach
 3. Brandeis - Low Reach (I dont know if they look at SAT scores as much as others)
 4. George Washington - Match, especially if you show interest
 5. Fordham - Safety, with your GPA… pleeeasee
 6. University of Connecticut - Safety

I only did the ones I knew a lot about, so as not to throw off your hopes (:

Oh thanks! I hate it when people chance for schools they know nothing about!

Can some other people chance me please?
I’d also like to toss the University of Texas Austin and UMass Amherst into the considering list

I like vanilla ice cream and bumping threads…

I like your grades but the stats could stand to come up a little more
and maybe factor in a few more major-related ECs? More focused ECs do tend to stand out on a transcript- especially when you are applying to something as specific as a Pharmaceutical school

definitely most of the schools are within your range and in your top five- I would say your a prime candidate for all of them (especially with some slight standardized increases)

chance me back?- http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1006553-senior-chance-ivies-ehhhh-grades.html</a> :)

Boston University: Match
Northeastern University: Match
Rutgers: High Match
University of New Hampshire: In
Boston College: Low Reach
NYU: Reach
Brandeis: Low Reach/High Match
George Washington: In
Fordham: In
University of Connecticut: In
Baylor

All the schools you listed are high matches or low reaches. You have an amazing class ranking/GPA and if you raise your SAT (to 2000+) and SATII score (700+), you are probably in at every school with the exception of maybe NYU.

Also, have you considered applying to St. John’s University? The school fits your numbers well and they have a great pharmacy program!

Best of luck!

Chance me back? : )

 6. Fordham - Match

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1006168-chance-me-please.html#post1065663378</a></p>

oh come now…you’ll have to do better than that if you expect a chance back…

i’ll chance u back tho if u give me a REAL chance this time

I’ve hears that MCPHS is an awful school. It turns out that many students who go there don’t get into medical school, and the curriculum is difficult. Basically, they accept everyone and half the class flunks out/transfers.

I also heard that the campus is essentially one building. One. That’s it.

I hated BU, but I love NU. I fell in love with the campus, and although you’re applying for the pharm program, you should get in.
