<p>Jewish/Hispanic male Sophomore from the University of Central Florida, first generation college student with 36 credits and a 3.67 gpa (rising trend). I am taking 12 credits in the fall and 15 in the spring. I am going to be applying to Columbian college of arts and sciences. My high school statistics weren't great I started my Junior year with a 2.76 and graduated with a 3.4, shows my ability to bounce back from adversity, but by the end of my spring semester I will of completed 66 credits, which I would imagine would make my high school record irrelevant. I don't have classes like calc or chem because my major doesn't require it and would be irrelevant to my course study. In my essay I talked about how I wanted to transfer so that I could be afforded more research opportunities, take advantage of the great internship opportunities in D.C. which my current university lacks, as well as GW's study abroad program. </p>

<p>In the essay, GW likes to hear on why you specifically like GW (not just DC). I would keep in everything about internships, but maybe add a bit on what appeals to you about GW.</p>

<p>Sounds like you have a good shot. Im also applying as a transfer and recently while I was in DC for a school assignment, I sat in during one of their undergrad orientation sessions. I highly recommend you do the same, very informative. Let me know what the decision was.</p>

<p>Hello All. I applied as a transfer student for admission into the Elliott School. I have 56 credits under my belt at a CC w/ a 3.5 GPA. I am one Statistics course shy of an A.A. in liberal arts. I have served over nine years of active duty and I am on the board of a local non-profit. Does anyone think these stats worthy enough for admission? I wish you all the best of luck.</p>
