<p>Hi, I posted a thread earlier but it quickly fell by the wayside (i think due to its length), so here is a tl;dr version (in hopes of getting a response)
Current school: Loyola University New Orleans
Target schools: BC (CAS), Brown, Cornell (CAS) and my uber reach which isn't worth talking about is harvard)</p>
<p>-Major: Economics</p>
<p>-ACT score: 31C (34 English, 34 CR, 28 Math, 27 science (got my scores back today, first time) I also have a 1920 on the SAT, which I might retake (I am averaging about 2150 on the tests in the blue book).
SATIIs: 770 history, 650 Math 1, 640 lit</p>
<p>**High School stats<a href="huge%20upward%20trend%20that%20continues%20though%20college">/B</a>:
-3.78 GPA
-8 AP classes: US 1 (our school broke AP US into 2 components, the first being in sophomore year), US 2 4, European History 5, Government 4, English 4, AP AB Calc 5, Psychology 5, English 5, lots of honors classes
-Rank: top 25% (=()
-HS EC's: Captain of Model United Nations (won multiple awards in it) and Debate. Also, Mock trial, Model Congress</p>
<p>College:
-Honors Program.
-3.98 GPA
-Very intense work load next semester (21 to 24 hours officially, "sitting in" (while still doing the work for) another 6 hours (including a master's class); this might be breaking a record for the school.
-College EC's: Starting 2 clubs (and will be president/captain of them): Model United Nations, Debate team. I'm also in econ club and was in 300 club (ROTC club) last semester (don't know if I will continue ROTC)</p>
<p>-Volunteer Work: Only about 40-50 hours, and at random places (mainly helping out in NO though).</p>
<p>-Awards: Salute To Framingham (regional award given to 18/460 outstanding students), -best Social Sciences student award,<br>
-AP Scholar with Honor,
-Dean's List
-My biggest honor for hs isn't really an award, but that my teacher invited me back to the school to be a guest-lecturer on economics (the presentation happened yesterday actually, lol).</p>
<p>-Essays: I really like my essays, and they have been going through editing hell from like 8 people. I also have good reasons for transferring. </p>
<p>-Should have some great recs, one from my adviser/econ teacher, the other from a history teacher who i thought was exceptional (also a harvard grad if that has any bearing). A teacher of mine from high school really wanted to write me a letter of rec to Harvard (she is a grad), so she will be writing admissions but it won't be official</p>
