My intended major is studio arts or graphic design (for cal states)
I am submitting an art portfolio for the schools required.
I am applying to UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, UCI, and UCR
For cal states, I’m applying to CSULB, SDSU, and Cal Poly Pomona

I live in Los Angeles.

Public School
Asian
Weighted GPA: 3.59
Unweighted GPA: 3.2ish
SAT: 1st one was 1600 flat, 2nd one is probably gonna be around 1900
SAT2: Math 2 (650)
AP Exams: Calculus AB (5), AP World History (5)

Extra curricular:
I’ve been my school’s graphic designer for 2 years
I have a graphic design award
My work experiences are making logos for different companies
My community service place was mostly computer graphic help (I went for 4 years)

My GPA and SAT scores are not so great… I’m really worried.

Your GPA and test scores will probably keep your out of the UCs on your list - but, the portfolio review and a compelling essay could change that.

You are a strong candidate for the CSUs you list. I think they will also want to see your work before deciding so, i suppose they could go either way (depending on your portfolio).
