UCLA is soo not a super reach for you! You did great! Except can you tell me what you’re cumulative unweighted/weighted, whatever you’ve got, GPA is? You got a great SAT score by the way. Good job! I wish you could tutor me on math. I get really high scores in writing and reading but not on math.

Are you sure that’s your UC GPA, it would generally be higher than your UW GPA if you took some honors/APs as at least some should be weighted in the UC calculation.

Your SAT score is considerably above average for the mid tier UCs which will help if your UC GPA inches up towards their average of about 3.9/4.0. You can get away with a below average GPA if the score is well above average. If you can raise the score more, do so.

But this will be a very tough year at the UCs with the budget crisis forcing fewer freshmen and more OOS students. Bottom line: if you’re counting on a UC add the bottom 3 to your list.

I just added up your UC GPA based on the information you gave: Bonus for the three APs, not counting the ROP class which I don’t think is an A-G class:
As - 5 X 4 = 20
Bs - 6 X 3 = 18
Cs - 1 X 2 = 2
Bonus Pts = 3
= 43 GPA pts/12 year-long courses = 3.58 UC GPA

umm your SAT scores don’t add up to 2100, they add up to 2080. typo?
I would say you definitely have a good chance at most of those schools, UCSD might be a little difficult, and UCLA is definitely a reach, but if it’s your dream school try it and see what happens

UC GPA with the ROP:
3.62 (Including 3 APs) or
3.69 (If one or more honors is UC-approved for honors)
With your high tests scores, the middle UCs look possible for you. As hmom says, include one of the bottom three if you are counting on attending a UC.

Have you considered widening your college search to include universities that would give you significant merit money because you are a NMSF? There are many listed on the Financial Aid/Scholarships forum.
