Chance me please? URM

Hi guys, I am just wondering what you guys think my chances will be for the following schools (safety schools not included):
Georgetown, UVA, Villanova, WUSTL, UPenn, Boston College, Tufts

I’m applying to the College of Arts and Sciences to everywhere. (prospective bio major)

I understand that to the places I have EA’d to (GTown, UVA, Nova, BC) there is nothing I can do to change the outcome of my decision, but I just want to know what to expect.

SAT: 1480
SAT IIs: Chem (730), Math 2 (710), Lit (680)
GPA: 3.92 (UW), 4.34 (W)
Rank: School doesn’t report
School Type: Small private in Delaware
Course Load: Full IB Diploma (most rigorous course load my school offers), HL Math, Bio, English. SL Spanish, Chem, World Religions
AP Scores: Calc AB (5)
All A’s all throughout high school except for a B in HL Math last year, and a B+ at the interim this year.
Hooks: URM (Black), special family situation that it explained in my essays

ECs

  • Link Crew 11-12: Help introduce freshmen into HS, spirit activities all year
  • Model Organization of American States (like model UN) 11-12
  • Agenda/Business Meeting (my school’s student council) 11-12, Treasurer in grade 12
  • Tutoring Club 10-12, Clerk (I run the club)
  • Service trip to the DR 11
  • Service Trip in Spain 10
  • In school internship at school 11
  • History Bowl 10-12
  • African American Affinity club 10-11
  • Soccer 10-11
  • Track and Field 9-11
  • Literary and art magazine 11-12

Other Stuff:

  • I emailed WUSTL about visitation and they paid for my flight there and I had an overnight visit and they set me up to talk to a Biomedical engineering professor
  • QuestBridge College Prep Scholar
  • Traumatic family experience really effected my mental health and academics (like SAT stuff and ECs)

Penn and Wash U are reaches. The others are probably high matches.

@nw2this Tufts has a lower acceptance rate than WashU. Gtown is also a reach, and same with UVA if the applicant is OOS.

WashU is dying for kids like you. They paid for you to come visit. What is your first choice?

Thanks to everyone that responded. I also forgot to mention that I’m a first gen college student as well, if that changes anything. And @zomaya99 my top 2 schools are Georgetown and WashU and i like them equally pretty much.

Update: Got accepted into BC and Georgetown so far!
