I am applying to the University of Texas McCombs school of business. That, and UC Berkeley Haas are my reaches.
Please be nice and most importantly, honest.

I have played Piano for 12 years. Currently being hired as an accompanist by a few students each year. I have played at several recitals and competitions the music of: Rachmaninoff, Chopian, Schubert, and Jelly-Roll Morton (unserious name, seriously awesome jazz/swing!)
Interviewed and was selected to be a Senior Student Ambassador. Where I go to school this is a big deal. Administration selects 20 out of 350 or so applicants and you work your butt off all year long.
Service Hours: about 250-300 honest and meaningful hours. (Not resume-filler type things.)
The GPA above is from a calculation I did earlier this summer. Just to check, I went ahead and used the 4.0 GPA converter our school has ( we are not on 4pt system) and I got 3.97. I had forgotten to add points for AP classes. Hoorah.
Since your OOS it definitely looks likke a large reach for both schools. Haas even more so, just because UCB is harder to get into and then you have to apply after your second year. I think you have a shot at McCombs, but it is still going to be tough (just my honest opinion). OOS at these schools is really tough, and you can get denied with close to perfect stats.
Do you have any extracurriculars related to business? UCB is difficult to get into especially because you are out of state, so it will be a high reach. Being in Texas will help your chances of getting accepted at McCombs so this may be more of a mid reach.
Yeah I did not know you were a Texas Resident. I think you are in Mccombs then. I would just focus your efforts on getting into Mccombs, since it is such an amazing school and it costs so little to you. If you had to pick between full price UCB and UT Austin Mccombs instate it would be a very tough choice.
