thanks for your help!!
if u have ay other school u think i fit let me know.
ive also looked at duke, georgetown, unc...and im going to visit cornell, villanova, bc

We’ve got some similar schools!
duke - reach
georgetown - match
unc - match(in state), low reach oos
cornell - low reach
villanova - safety
bc - high match

duke - low reach
georgetown - reach
unc - low reach
cornell - reach
villanova - match
bc - match

I think you should try and work on your EC’s at a greater depth. They seem a bit trite and not that extensive. If you perhaps get a job or do something innovative with your free time to fill that void in your app, your chances will deff improve.

chance back! err don’t have the link, but you can find it on the chance boards.

Duke - reach (it’s a reach for anybody, really)
Georgetown - match/high match
UNC - in (if in-state), high match (if out of state)
Cornell - low reach
Villanova - safety
BC - match

i think u will get in at uva. i would say unc too. duke and cornell would b a little harder but i think you still have a good chance. i would reccomend taking the sat again. not that i think your score are bad. i think a 2110 is good. but most ppl do better if they take it again so if i were u i would take it again.

In my opinion, from what I’ve learned researching colleges, your stats look good enough for any of those schools – they’re all DEFINITE possibilities

oh, this might be off topic, but this is just a suggestion. I wouldn’t recommend jumping from pre-calc to AP calc.
I’m in calc right now. I didn’t take pre calc, I just took Hon. Algebra II and trig as a sophomore. I would say to at least go through some standard calc textbooks and get a feel for it first, before you make such a big decision.

I think you’re a match for UVA, you’re SAT scores are at the higher end of their middle 50%, and your GPA is really good. Your schedule is very rigorous, and your ECs show that you like being involved. I don’t really know any of the other schools you looked at except for Nova, and I think you’d definitely be a math for them

thanks guys!
and thanks for the calc comment…but idk at my school the order may be diff but i already took algebra 2 last year, and trig is sorta throughout a few years, not really one class. so AP calc is really my only option

Your SATs and GPA are great. If you have room for improvement on the SATs, I’d say go for it. The higher they are the better. You’ll probably make it into UVA, depending on how the rest of your school is.

My advice to you on AP Calculus is to only take BC if you have an mid-high interest in math. BC Calculus can be hard at times and can be rigorous if you wish to do well on the AP.
