<p>What are my chances of getting into my dream school of UW-Madison? (GO BADGERS!)</p>
<p>Background:
I am applying as a Minnesota resident.
I am currently in the summer before my senior year, and will be applying for the Fall 2015 semester.</p>
<p>Academics:
GPA Weighted: 3.83
GPA Unweighted: 3.74
I am in the 88th percentile for my class of 423 students, and lettered in academics twice.
By the time I graduate I will have taken 7 honors courses, as well as 4 AP courses. (Roughly 2 honors and 1 AP class a year.)</p>
<p>Standardized Testing:
ACT Composite: 28
English: 27
Math: 24
Reading: 33
Science: 26
Writing: 7 (25 English & Writing)
I may retake the ACT in October, as that score was from my first and only attempt.</p>
<p>Extracurriculars:
I did 4 seasons of varsity cheerleading, starting my freshman year. (Lettered 4 times)
I have held a part time job at local restaurants for 2 years.
I volunteered at the local library for 1 year.
I volunteered at an ABE/ESL school for 1 year.
I have been in HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) for 3 years, and will be an Officer in the club my senior year. (Lettered 3 times)
In the HOSA competitive events program, I placed at the State level, and qualified for/participated at the National level in Orlando, Florida.</p>
<p>Other Considerations:
My dad graduated from Madison in 1985 if that's relevant.
It's my absolute dream school, and I'll be pretty crushed if I don't get in.
I am also applying to U of M Twin Cities, and UW-La Crosse, as they are the only other schools in WI/MN that offer my major.</p>
<p>'Thanks so much for your time :) :D :)) </p>
