I'm a Junior Currently. Planning on ED next year.
97 Average (School doesn't do a 4.0 Scale. I'm assuming that translates to 4.0)
35 ACTS (going to try for a 36)
225 Community Service Hours
Debating taking the SAT
Only 2 AP's but that's because I went to Middle College this year and will stay for next year.
If everything goes the way I plan, I will have 6 math credits, 6 Science, 5 History, 3-4 Latin, 4 English, fill in the rest with high school elective credits. I will have 21 minimum college hours when I graduate. (depending if I self study for some AP exams) I got into Tennessee Governors School for engineering.

Well? Chance me. This is my dream school.

I don’t see why you wouldn’t get in if the rest of your application is good.

Great stats- I really don’t think a 36 on the ACT will make you a more attractive applicant.

You look to be very competitive with your overall GPA and test scores.
Your extracurriculars look great too! Vandy loves involved students.
I wouldn’t re-take the ACT, a 35 is more than good enough and do not take the SAT as their grading scale is different and you might get a much lower score than what you got on the ACT.
Also, show interest in Vandy! Visit their campus or just email their admissions counselors with some questions. Vanderbilt really appreciates students that put in the effort to get to know the school.
Also, if you send your score to Vandy, they will put you on a list to recieve pamphlets, booklets, and other things so you can get to know their schools and undergraduate programs better.

This is more then enough. One of my really good friends got in this year, and she did have a high SAT score (about 2100 i think) but her grades were like a 3.85 unweighted and her only EC’s were track and cross country (however she is not running there). If that is enough to get her in you should be fine. :)

You should be fine. If you don’t get in, it’s because your essays weren’t good…

Work on your essays instead of working on getting a 36 ACT. 1 point won’t make a difference

Don’t say things like that. It implies that if she doesn’t get in, her portfolio wasn’t “good enough.” Plenty of fully qualified people don’t get into Vandy just because that’s what it is with acceptance rates so low; it’s not a reflection on the person’s qualifications, but there are only so many beds.
