Chance me, please! (Vanderbilt)

Ok, I'm new to this site so I hope this is how it works! What are my chances of transferring to Vanderbilt from UGA? Here are my stats:

Freshmen at the University of Georgia

High School:
average: wow, I already can’t remember, but it was somewhere from 92-94 I think
SAT: CR 640, M 660, W 650
I took 3 APs (Lang, Chem, and Latin) but I failed the Chem exam…

First semester classes (I’ve already got credit at UGA for English 1101, 1102, and 2111 through AP and joint enrollment)
Calculus I for Science and Engineering (CALC 2250)
Latin: Vergil’s Aeneid (LATN 3010) (I got credit for 3 semesters of Latin from my AP exam)
Foundations of Performance Design (DRAM 3300)
Elementary psychology (PSYC 1101)
Physical geography (GEOG 1111)
= 16 hours (I don’t know if that matters)

In high school, my extracurricular activities included orchestra, stage crew, Latin Club, and Latin Honor Society. At UGA, I’m in HEROs.

I don’t have many grades yet, but so far in college I have 1 A and the rest are Bs… I know that’s not good, but I think I can get my grades up!

Is there any more information you would like to know?

not really sure, Vanderbilt is a really good school but we’d have to see your first semester GPA

ugh… 3.41… what now? :/

classes this semester:

Intro to political science (1101) 3 hours
Calc for science and engineering II (2260) 4 hours
Advanced readings in Latin (Cicero’s Tusculan Disputations) (4400) 3 hours
Intro to bio for non-science majors (1103) 3 hours
bio lab (1103L) 1 hour
women’s glee club (2710) 1 hour
theater lab (2040) 1 hour

ur freshman GPA is a killer, idt you have a great chance

I don’t think you have a very good shot at arts and sciences.
your major matters as well ( for example, vandy prides itself on having a lot of female engineers so this could be an advantage)
also, i heard their education college is easier to get into than the other colleges

well it seems that your ec’s are very weak…i wouldnt discount a 3.4 for vanderbilt, but it definantly hurts your chances…if your intent on transferring for soph. year, then just do your best with what you can control…essentially, your essay

ok, thanks… is there anything I can do to help my chances now? =/

Maybe re-take the SATs
