Chance me Please! Very Nervous!

I'm really debating whether or not to submit my Georgetown application. Everyone from my school that applied EA was deferred but none of them were Catholic and Georgetown is Jesuit but I'm not sure of whether or not they have a preference for different religious affiliations. I feel like my stats overall are pretty weak for Georgetown.

Caucasian(predominantly Irish),Catholic,female
upper-middle class, Long Island, big, top-ranked public school

GPA:I'm not sure because my school does it on an 8 scale but its around a 92 UW
Rank:School doesn't rank
ACT:31C-32E, 28M, 31R, 34M, 31W, 29C-28E, 28M, 33R, 28M, 27W. Superscored I have a 32 but no school superscores the ACT so it doesn't matter.
SAT:1910, but I'm not sending it
SAT II: 770 US History, 700 World History, 570 French, 620 Math II I want to retake French but is the January test date accepted?
APs: Euro 5, USH 5, Psych 5, Art History 4, English Lang 4.
Essays: In general I'm a very creative person and a good writer. My essays reflect that.

Major:I want to double major in International Relations and Journalism and possibly minor in Religion

Currently taking (All AP's):Calc AB, French, English Lit, Macro, US Gov't and Politics, Comparative Gov't and Politics and Environmental Science
My schedule over the past three years has been very rigorous, I am much stronger in English and Social Studies than Math and Science(even though I'm a year ahead) but my course selection and transcript definitely reflects that.

I also actively participated in Model UN, I've held some kind of leadership position in the club since I was a sophomore. I have not won any awards at conferences but my advisor wrote one of my recommendations so the fact that I do actively participate as opposed to sitting in the back writing notes is evident on my file.

-Youth Group for four years

-Part-time at an Italian Restaurant for a year and a half. I was technically a hostess and take-out clerk but I really did everything.

-Day camp counselor for two summers

-Community service included Track Club(instructing grammar school-age children about track and field) and charity runs

hell yeah girl go for it!

i got accepted EA to georgetown and your stats are good!
and if you get rejected it's not the end of the world. you don't want may to roll around and silently wish to yourself you had applied, right? right.

good luck! :)

Never ever base what you want to do on the results of others. Ever. Seriously. If you let other people define your destiny, you might as well hand over the reigns. Who knows why they werent accepted and who knows if you will be, and so... I agree. Go for it.

Were you thinking of doing the Catholic Studies minor along with International Relations, because that's exactly what I want to do too! You're stats and strengths and weaknesses are very similar to mine. I even did X Country and Swim too. Weird stuff...

If you're sending your SAT II scores,
they will see your SAT scores as well.
just an fyi

Honestly, you have a pretty good chance because a good ACT + SAT II scores.

But, don’t be a ***** to other people on other threads, that’s not something that colleges like.
