Chance Me Please - Virginia Tech

<p>Hello! My name is Joe. I'm from NOVA (northern VA) and VT is my number one school. I want to go into engineering, however, I dont think im competitive enough to go into it right away. My hope is to get accepted for University Studies and after the first semester transfer into the engineering program.</p>

I know my SAT scores are really bad, for some reason i just could not get the "hang" of the SAT.</p>

• I’ve been in the Honor Roll every quarter since 7th grade.
• 2nd place in (2009-10) Science Fair for my Rubik’s Cube Algorithms Presentation
• In 8th Grade i received 5th place in Science Olympiad for Tower building.
• Invited to participate in the National Young Leaders Conference (3 years)</p>

<p>Programs:
• Accepted to SHPE – Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers at UVA (weekend program at UVA, junior year)</p>

<p>Try the ACT, you may surprise yourself. The material is more straight forward but they put a premium on speed. You will need to practice with time constraints to mirror the test.</p>

<p>Dude, I think you’re set. Your SAT isn’t stellar, but you have so many other things to offer that I really think you’ll get in.</p>

Don’t send your SATs. They might accept you without it right?
Which engg. course ?
I got in with a 1960 on my SAT(intl student + Asian = harder to get in). U’l get in easy enough, positive.
My GPA was lower though.</p>
