<p>Okay, I know I am a long shot, but I really think I can thrive even in the tough collegiate environment of Wharton.</p>

<p>Should I take the ACT in December??? Will it hurt my chances if the scores come a week after January??? Also, can i send in both the SAT and ACT?</p>
<p>EC's:
-Tennis: MVP on JV team. Most Improved on varsity (2 years). Also, mentor JV girls and am in charge of JV boys (but not captain... should be though).
-Leo Club (International community service organization)</p>

I am also taking the AP's for Literature, Econ, Government, and Statistics this year.
(My school only provides ONE AP course sophomore year and the rest are for junior and senior year which are not that many.)</p>
<p>Community Service (150 hrs approx.):
Volunteer at Convalescent Home, also for tennis fundraiser events, and various events for Leo Club. I also tutor students but I do not collect hours.</p>
<p>I know this doesn't seem like much, but I go to a really poor high school that has lost over 12 million dollars in funding in the past few years and will continue to lose funding. It is comprised of over 4500 students that are mostly low income (including me since my parents are unemployed as of this moment) Thus, a LOT of things have been cut and to top it off, you are not really allowed to do multiple EC's (e.g. Debate and Sports- it's either one or the other. The coaches make you chose). So, it sucks. Thanks again for taking the time. I truly appreciate it.</p>
