Do I have any chance?!!

I hate these kind of threads but I just have to know because after reading others, looking at their SAT scores, I am SOO frustrated. I’m feeling like i really have no chance; AT ALL…

I really love Boston University & I mentioned that in my application. But i think my chances are even slimmer because this year is supposed to be the record breaking year for number of applicants, which is extremely scary!

I participated in a good number of Extra-curricular activities such as National Honor society, Science club, Chess Club, Computer Club, Asian-American Club, Peer Tutoring as well as Soccer.

I was the vice-president of Computer Club and at vice-president at a Local Temple where I thought little kids. I also volunteered at Local Food Pantries, Hunger relief organizations and some other food programs.

I have been working in a youth program since the summer of 2007. There I have been Team-Captain, Crew-Leader and I did fair amount of Public speaking.

I have been All quarter honor roll student, Got nominated for Congressional Student Leadership Program and been nominated for Posse Scholarship.

I am a South-Asian male, have been in the US for two years and have some problem with English. My SAT score is not very good. Cr-490, Math- 540 and Writing- 530. My Toefl score is 91 out of 120. But fortunately I have good GPA- 4.21(unweighted) 3.72(weighted). Rank 7 out of 317 students. Taking 2 AP classes. According to my teachers, I have good essays. But I am really worried about my essay.

I applied to BU, BC, Tufts, NorthEastern, Umass Boston, Mass college of Pharmacy, WPI, Holy Cross. I was wondering if being in the US and being minority will help me somehow.

Thanks for taking you time to read this and any answer would numb down my worries!(Although I know that I will probably not get accepted into any of these colleges )
