Chance Me Please(Will Chance back upon request)

Do I have any chance?!!

I hate these kind of threads but I just have to know because after reading others, looking at their SAT scores, I am SOO frustrated. I'm feeling like i really have no chance; AT ALL..

I really love NorthEastern University but I feel like I have a very small chance getting into this school.

I participated in a good number of Extra-curricular activities such as National Honor society, Science club, Chess Club, Computer Club, Asian-American Club, Peer Tutoring as well as Soccer.

I was the vice-president of Computer Club and at vice-president at a Local Temple where I thought little kids. I also volunteered at Local Food Pantries, Hunger relief organizations and some other food programs.

I have been working in a youth program since the summer of 2007. There I have been Team-Captain, Crew-Leader and I did fair amount of Public speaking.

I have been All quarter honor roll student, Got nominated for Congressional Student Leadership Program and been nominated for Posse Scholarship.

I am a South-Asian male(Bangladeshi), have been in the US for two years and for that reason my SAT score is not very good. Cr-490, Math- 540 and Writing- 530. My Toefl score is 91 out of 120. NEU told me that for foreign students they replace SAT(R and W) scores with toefl scores. Then that would give me 600+600+540(1740).

Fortunately I have good GPA- 4.21(unweighted) 3.72(weighted). Rank 7 out of 317 students. Taking 2 AP classes. According to my teachers, I have good essays.

I applied to BU, BC, Tufts, NorthEastern, Umass Boston, Mass college of Pharmacy, WPI, Holy Cross. I was wondering if being in the US and being minority will help me somehow.

Thanks for taking you time to read this and any answer would numb down my worries!(Although I know that I will probably not get accepted into any of these colleges )

EC's look good.

Even if you were in the US for only 2 years, your math score is kind of low. Numbers are the same everywhere. I can understand for writing and CR, you scored low but math is universal.

Good GPA.

It all boils down to how much the schools like you. They can ignore SATs but you have to make it up in other areas.

As I said before, UMass Boston, Mass Pharmacy, and Holy Cross are your best chances.

I am going to say a definate no to BC, Tufts, and WPI.

BC and WPI are well known for math and you scored too low on math. Tufts well...Is Tufts...

Boston University maybe but low chance since you didn't apply ED I believe.

No offense, but you're probably wasting your time applying to BC and Tufts.
