You have some really interesting ECs. Good luck and chance me back :)

Is Duke your top choice? Reason I say that is that I think you’d get into UPenn ED, but would have a tougher time RD (they accept a lot- like 1/2- of the class ED). I think you are into Duke (ED or RD) and Cornell. But if you don’t apply to Penn ED its a lot tougher because so much of the class is filled up. I’d say you’d get into all (maybe not Penn though, depending on ED/RD)

Thank you all for your input! Yes, Duke is definitely my number one choice, which also makes it the school I am most worried about. I don’t think I will get accepted to UPenn RD, but I’m still hoping I do. I am not too worried about getting into Cornell, because their College of Arts and Life Sciences is a land-grant college of New York State, so they need to have about 80% of the students be state residents. Plus about 8-10 kids go to Cornell every year from my school, so I think I will be able to get in but nothing’s definite.

I think you have a pretty good chance at Duke with ED, but I also agree that you might want to switch your ED to Penn if you’re really okay with going to either. Gtown’s closer to a match, you have a great chance at getting in. JHU sounds about the same because of your volunteering especially. Michigan i think for sure. and penn might be difficult without ED but it’s kinda unpredictable
chance me back please! (BU 7 year med)

Duke (ED) - Low Reach
Cornell CALS - Low Reach
Georgetown - High Match
Johns Hopkins - High Match
Rochester - Match
Michigan - Match
UPenn - Low Reach
SUNY Binghamton - Safety
Hobart and William Smith (auto-admission medical program) - Match
St. Bonaventure (auto-admission medical program) - Match

I would guess you will get into Duke ED so i guess there isnt much of a need to chance the others.

ehh…
Cornell CALS–match
Georgetown–higher match
Johns Hopkins–highish match
Rochester–in
Michigan–in
UPenn–reach
SUNY Binghamton–dunno
Hobart and William Smith (auto-admission medical program)–dunno
St. Bonaventure (auto-admission medical program)–dunno

The ivies are unpredictable, but I think with your stats you could get in. SUNY Binghamton is definitely a safety. I never heard of Hobart and William Smith or the saint school. The rest seem to be matches.

Hobart is a safety for you. The ivies/ivy-equilvalent are, as Blackops said, unpredictable. But I think you stand a good shot at Gtown, Cornell, and Duke ED… i.e. I think you’re into all three. Good luck!

Your ECs are amazing! I cant’ believe you’ve played piano and sax for so long. Your stats are obviously up there, and assuming you don’t blow your essays I think Duke is a good chance. Esp. since your ED.

For that other schools:

Cornell CALS–reach
Georgetown-- match
Johns Hopkins–match
Rochester-- safety
Michigan–in
UPenn–reach

For the other 3 schools, I’m not familiar with them. sorry.

Everything about your application seems to be very solid. Scores, ECs, and things like your ethnicity will definitely be a strong point. I’m sure you know to do this, but work on your essay! VERY IMPORTANT. I agree with the posters above on matches/reaches and stuff.
