<p>I am the "unofficial" valedictorian of my class of approximately 150 students (It's "unofficial" because my school doesn't rank). I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA and 4.86 weighted GPA. I have taken 11 AP classes and all honors classes, minus my electives. Although my academics are above average, I am not a good test taker-at all. I got a 1960 on my SAT with a 2000 superscore and a 30 on my ACT. I am involved in my school and participate in a good amount of extracurricular activities from golf to school honor societies to mentoring students (but I don't really do anything over-the-top like speech and debate or any science clubs...) So I want to know my chances for getting into UC Berkeley, Cornell University, Washington University in St. Louis, Rice University, Carnegie Mellon University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Tulane University. <p>Are you kidding? She got all As and she’s #1 ranked. Your extracurriculars are fine. You will get into all of those colleges.

<p>You’ll probably get into Tulane and RPI. The rest are reaches with your SAT…</p>
<p>Depending on where you’re applying, you might consider retaking SAT. With your gpa, as well as ~100 points higher on the SATs, you’ll be a match for Cornell.</p>
<p>All of the others you can probably get into now.</p>
