Hi, just wanted to see if I have any chance for some of the colleges above.
GPA: 4.5 W, 3.98 UW
APs: 4 on Physics and Bio, 5 on lang
SAT: 2180, (1460 on the other scale)
ACT: 32 (going to take it again and hoping for 35)
SAT subject tests: 770 on bio M. Should I take math lvl 2?
Currently taking : AP gov, AP chem, Ap literature and AP calc
ECs: president of NHS for french
Historian at FBLA. Some other officer positions at other clubs
2 years of Swimming.
Self-taught pianist, have already done my music supplements and stuff.

Essays: Probably my best area. Wrote an a non-cliche essay on coming to the US at 7th grade. Checked it with my teacher and she also said it was not cliche. Wrote my supplement for Pomona about learning piano on my own.
Recommendations: 3 recommendations for Pomona. All the teachers knew me very well and told me that their recommendations will be great.
Hooks: first generation American, came here in 7th grade.
Chance me and will chance back!

Your ECs are good but your academics aren’t that outstanding. You will need to take one more SAT subject.

Pomona ED:low reach
UCLA: match
UCSD: low match
UCD: low match
Stanford (I know it’s a reach ): high reach
Columbia (same as above): reach
Northwestern: low reach
Johns Hopkins: low reach
Rice: high match
UPenn: reach
Cornell:reach

UCD and UCSD are definite ins. The rest of the schools you are applying to are extremely competitive. You should get into UCLA and maybe Rice too. The IV leagues are going to be tough, but if you do get a 35 you have a shot at any of them. Good Luck!

You look like you have a really well rounded application. I think you’re a solid contender and have a reasonable chance at most of the schools.

Pomona ED: Close
UCLA: Good chance
UCSD: Close
UCD: Close
Stanford (I know it’s a reach ): Tough
Columbia (same as above): Tough but a contender
Northwestern: Close
Johns Hopkins: Close
Rice: Looking pretty good
UPenn: Tough but a contender
Cornell: Close

Hi! I’d just like to mention that all of my chances should be taken with a grain of salt- I’m just another college applicant after all.

Pomona ED: Match/very low reach
UCLA: Match/low reach
UCSD: Safety
UCD: Match
Stanford: I would say Stanford would be the highest reach.
Columbia: high reach/reach
Northwestern: reach/low reach
Johns Hopkins: low reach
Rice: Reasonable match
UPenn: High Reach
Cornell: Reach

Good luck with your ventures and hopefully we can all get through the college application process with out sanity intact!

Anytime! Would you mind chancing back? My thread is called “Yet another chance thread. Chance me, maybe?” It should be on the latest discussions forum.

I would agree with the person above me except Pomona ED is a low reach/reach but one thing I want to add that your essays can really affect your chances and if you write them well, I think Pomona ED can become a high match. Good luck!
