<p>Hey everyone, I'm new to CC but I think I've gotten the hang of "chancing." So, if you could please chance me I will gladly chance you back.</p>

<p>About me: Chinese Senior in the Mid-Atlantic Region looking at engineering; public high school without class rankings but still competitive.</p>

<p>Fresh-Jr GPA: ~3.7 UW/~4.15 W
SAT: 2320: 800 M/780 W/740 CR; 800 Chemistry, 780 Math 2, 800 Physics
Extracurriculars:
-Captain of the Science Olympiad team; won multiple national medals and many more at lower levels of competition; participant since 5th grade
-Science Bowl member for 3 years
-Co-founder of a community service club that has been recognized by the local TV news station; logged 500+ hours since its conception in freshman year
-Captain of the Math Team
-Founder of the school's Chess Club (freshman year); also instruct elementary schoolers on Mondays for a few hours
-Math/Spanish/Orchestra/Science/National Honor Society
Academics/Summer stuff:
-All "core classes" were either Honors or AP; the only classes w/o those designations were Gym, Spanish, and Orchestra
-Dual enrolled at the local Community College; maintaining a 4.0 UW GPA with ~4 classes taken since enrollment during the summer between fresh-soph years
-Attended an engineering seminar at UConn
-Admission to a competitive math camp during the summer
-Internship with NASA</p>

<p>Prospective Colleges: Caltech, Harvey Mudd, Rose-Hulman Institute of Tech, Virginia Tech, Carnegie Mellon, Johns Hopkins</p>

<p>I’d say they’re all pretty much matches with JHU Carnegie Mellon and Harvey mudd as high matches because they’re so competitive. Like everyone says cal tech is a reach for all applicants but I’d say your stats are good enough it just depends on who reviews your application.
