To be honest, your UW GPA is simply too low for Cornell. That’s the only one I would say is completely out of reach. ECs and SAT scores are both relatively strong but I don’t know if they are strong enough to compensate for the 3.5. Perhaps if your essay was out of this world amazing? Even then, the odds are not in your favor, but Ivies are a crapshoot for everyone, give it your best shot! UVA is a reach too, but it’s a better chance than Cornell. Your SAT is in the middle percentile, but the majority of incoming freshman have a UW GPA of a 3.75 or above. However, your weighted GPA may carry you. Good recs, essays, and ECs could also make up for the GPA, but it’s a toss up. Early action may help, not sure.

As for the others, the only ones I really know a lot about are UMD-CP and VTech. I’d say your odds are great for both. Your score out of 1600 is above average for UMD and your GPA is only a bit below their average. The same can be said for VTech. I’d say your chance of admissions into the school of Business at UMD may be a little bit more precarious (but only slightly), but that’s the nature of the beast when it comes to LEPs.

GPA a tad low for Cornell uva Georgetown wake and cmu
I think you have a chance though at all those places. Very very low chance at Cornell thoufh

Rest matches
Vtech maybe safety
If I were you I’d consider one more safety but if you don’t want to you don’t need to

Wake Forest - Match (I want to say low match, but I’m not sure)
Georgetown - High match/low reach
Carnegie Mellon - High match/low reach
NYU - Match
UT-Austin - High match
Virginia Tech - Low match

My brother applied ED to Cornell and got deferred then denied and he had about the same stats/EC strength but a lower SAT. So I would say it comes down to your essay and recommendations

I think you have a good shot at UT Austin and Virginia Tech…As for Cornell your scores and grades just might fail to make the cut…about the rest I have no idea

Heey! First off I’d love to see you at Cornell! Us ED peeps deserve it! Anyway here’s my input:
Cornell- Bit of a reach simply because of GPA but if your essays are good you have a good shot ED.
UVA/ Georgetown- These are your highest reaches. UVA thas become increasingly difficult for out of staters who aren’t perfect applicants. Georgetown may as well be an ivy and since your not doing ED it might be tough.
Carnegie Mellon- Mid reach
NYU- match (New York is the best, highly recommend going to school in the city)
UT Austin- Match
Va Tech- Safety
Best of luck! :)
