I am an out-of-state applicant from Indiana that applied to UCLA. I was wondering if any past or current applicants, current students, or anybody who has knowledge regarding acceptance criteria for UCLA could provide some insight on my chances of getting accepted. It’s been my dream school since the fourth grade, and I can’t wait for the March decisions to come out!
SAT: 1930
ACT: 29
GPA: 4.3 Weighted, 3.85 Unweighted

I thought I wrote some solid essays, and I do come from an unordinary circumstance because I have a brother with autism.
All input is highly appreciated! Thank you! Go Bruins!
I think your sat and act could be just a tad bit higher but everything else looks up to par. Your extra curricular activities will certainly add some strength to your application especially the student council positions. I would not be surprised if you were accepted! Good Luck!
Thank you so much! And yes, my scores could’ve been a tad higher. On their website and CollegeBoard, they say they’re fine, but a 30 wouldn’t have hurt!
Your scores are defiantly in the range. Your extracurriculars are solid. Also rates for out of state students are rising in the uc system so your Indiana location may not hurt you as much as expected. I would say the school is in your range!
Thank you so much!
You seem to be a very solid candidate as mat324 said, and I will not be surprised whatsoever if you are accepted. A 30-32 would have definitely given you that extra little push to make you stand out at the edge of the upper statistic quartile, but you should be fine. Your senior year courseload seems strong (assuming based on the AP tests you are taking this year) and you have a unique background and EC’s that stand out. UCLA is well within your range, as are many other great schools, so congrats on the work you’ve put out to get here! Good luck.
Thank you! I only applied to Indiana University and UCLA, so it’s a make-or-break kind of deal!
that act will hurt you since your oos. my friend got rejected with a 35 and a 4.5 uc weighted. that being said, assuming good essays i say low reach. chance back PLEASE
I would have to say reach.
According to the stats on the website, and according to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xD1Z89WXYck for UCLA you seem well rounded, however your SAT scores/ACT are slightly not the ideal guarantee. I would say its GOOD MATCH… Good LUCk
I need the url then
Ideally, your SAT should be higher but then I know someone who got into UCLA with 1900/3.7gpa… you’ll never know!
Yes, they are “holistic” so it’s difficult to know. According to College Board and their statistics, the range starts at 1840 or something like that. I guess I’ll have to see in March! Thanks!
I like your EC’s they are all impressive. Your grades are in the running too. Why exactly is UCLA your number 1? What are you interested in studying there? Chance Back?
