My top choice is Brown... I didnt apply ED but thats a long story. Im applying to 8 other schools but you probably haven't heard of them and I think I'll get into at least 1 of them but anyways heres my stats:

okay so my GPA for 9th - 11th is 4.0 unweighted and somewhere between 4.7 and 4.8 ish weighted.
im unweighted valedictorian and 4/ 322 for weighted class rank

I will have taken 10 AP classes and about 13 honors classes which is a lot for my school

my SAT scores

Math 2: 800
Literature: 690

as far as work experience:
ive been a lifeguard and swim lesson instructor
i do an internship at a pediatricians office and im doing college level research with my pediatrician (this probably sounds pretentious but its through a program at my school and they call it "college level" research)

and i either want to major in math or chemistry.

I think you have a chance. I think it will come down to your essays. You have good stats, but I think your EC are little weak for an ivy league. I think if you play them up and really discuss how involved in them you are, you can get it. You have great performance with your school, so that is excellent. What ethnicity/race are you?

I’d say about a 20-30% chance, especially b/c ur not applying ED. The SAT is excellent (1450 puts you in the 40th percentile), EC’s are pretty solid, and your transcript is as rigorous as they come; your GPA is also great… it’s not terrific, but I’d like to hear ur other 9 schools if u want… I’m applying to pretty off-the-radar schools too, haha

Hope this helps!! Plz Chance me Back (2.0 thread)

Your scores are on the lower end for Brown/Cornell, but still manageable. Your EC’s are broad but none of them seem to stick out more than the others. I’d suggest that you emphasize one aspect [swimming/water activities imo] in your essays and your application, so you can show depth as well as breadth. Good luck!
