Chance me please. will chance back

My top choice is Brown... I didnt apply ED but thats a long story. Im applying to 8 other schools but you probably haven't heard of them and I think I'll get into at least 1 of them but anyways heres my stats:

okay so my GPA for 9th - 11th is 4.0 unweighted and somewhere between 4.7 and 4.8 ish weighted.
im unweighted valedictorian and 4/ 322 for weighted class rank

I will have taken 10 AP classes and about 13 honors classes which is a lot for my school

my SAT scores
CR: 670 Wr: 680 M: 780 (2130 total)
Math 2: 800
Literature: 690

ACT: 31

okay extracurriculars

as far as work experience:
ive been a lifeguard and swim lesson instructor
i do an internship at a pediatricians office and im doing college level research with my pediatrician (this probably sounds pretentious but its through a program at my school and they call it "college level" research)

and i either want to major in math or chemistry.

thanks and i will chance back

so i really dont like when people do this but i just wanted at least 1 reply so…
bump

I think you have a chance. I think it will come down to your essays. You have good stats, but I think your EC are little weak for an ivy league. I think if you play them up and really discuss how involved in them you are, you can get it. You have great performance with your school, so that is excellent. What ethnicity/race are you?

I think you absolutely are a good candidate and I would say its a low reach http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/817211-chances-non-stanford-hopkins-cornell-columbia-schools-chance-back.html</a></p>

I’d put it at a 40-50% chance you’ll get in…ok EC’s…you clearly take a very challenging schedule…the only problem could be the SAT score, 670 and 680 would put you right at the bottom of the middle 50% for each subject.
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/815089-johns-hopkins-ed-ill-chance-back.html</a></p>

I’d say about a 20-30% chance, especially b/c ur not applying ED. The SAT is excellent (1450 puts you in the 40th percentile), EC’s are pretty solid, and your transcript is as rigorous as they come; your GPA is also great… it’s not terrific, but I’d like to hear ur other 9 schools if u want… I’m applying to pretty off-the-radar schools too, haha

Hope this helps!! Plz Chance me Back (2.0 thread)

my other schools are muhlenberg, hope, wooster, smcm, ursinus, allegheny and then cornell and vanderbilt which are more popular ha.

I’ve heard of every school on that list but Hope and SMCM.

Muhlenberg, Ursiuns, Wooster, and Allegheny are all sure-fire acceptances.

Cornell: Match-Reach
Vanderbilt: Low Reach

nice list! :)

Your scores are on the lower end for Brown/Cornell, but still manageable. Your EC’s are broad but none of them seem to stick out more than the others. I’d suggest that you emphasize one aspect [swimming/water activities imo] in your essays and your application, so you can show depth as well as breadth. Good luck!

I visited Hope College, and Wooster so I know those well. They’re great and you’d be a shoe in there. Vandy will be a low reach as well as Cornell. Others I’m not so sure.
As far as Brown goes, I think you have a legitimate shot. more than 50%.
Good Luck!!
