My safety school will be Canadian ones :)

Thanks for reading all this, you will all be successful! :D

I really can only comment on your chances for Dartmouth. I would say that you have a very good chance of being admitted, but admission at top tier schools is really a crapshoot nowadays. I would say go for it and see what happens.

By the way, if you are interested in other languages, check out Middlebury College in Vermont. It is VERY similar to Dartmouth in many respects, except it doesn’t have a Greek scene, which you may or may not prefer. If you applied there, you’d also have a very strong chance of gaining admission.

I was really skeptical with Dartmouth, so thanks! I’ll definitely look into Middlebury too :)

Wansobar - Your statistics indicate that you would be a good candidate at any college, regardless of their low admissions rates. Perhaps you could boost your SAT to the 2200+ range, but if you can don’t worry (you have a very good score). Honestly, I can’t imagine a college looking at you and saying, “Hmm, we would have accepted her if her SAT score were 50 points higher.” That notion just doesn’t make any sense to me. After all, why should someone’s future college, where he/she will spend the next four years doing great things, be determined by 50-60 points on the SAT? Nevertheless, Dartmouth will most likely be brutally tough this year, as will all top tier schools. But don’t sweat it, with your profile, you will undoubtedly end up at a great school.

Please be careful about believing everything you read. I think all of the kids here are very well meaning, but they may not know all the facts.

My DS is applying ED to Dartmouth and we’ve studied their stats. CR and W in the 600s makes it a big reach. Higher scores will help a lot. Good luck!

impressive, but I don’t know exactly where you’re wanting to go. Ivy League? I would say 50-50 chance.

chance me:

You’ve got a decent shot. International ORM might hurt though.

dartmouth=great chance

Thanks everyone! :smiley:
and @wateringasphault, my first choice would be Dartmouth, but I didn’t apply ED :confused:
I didn’t have enough confidence as to how my SAT would have turned out, and my first one was pretty crappy… so :)

bump! :)

Thanks everyone for replying, but it’d be really helpful if I could get a couple more…

bump 10chars!!
